In North America, Dadanco and Mestek, Inc. have formed a joint venture to produce and market active chilled beams, induction units and induction diffusers.
DADANCO products utilize unique nozzle and fluid dynamics technology. This patented technology provides very high air entrainment at low pressure drops. The products being offered by the joint venture are based on Dadanco's patented nozzle technology and established product designs. DADANCO products can typically provide unit selections with either greater capacity or reduced size when compared to others. This often results in cost savings due to a smaller number of units being installed or the use of smaller units.
Mestek is a diversified manufacturer with sales of approximately $400 million. Mestek's companies include Smith Cast Iron Boilers, Hydrotherm, RBI Water Heaters and Boilers, Anemostat, Airtherm, Sterling, Vulcan Radiator, Air Balance, Arrow United, L. J. Wing, Lockformer and many others.
The active chilled beams and other Dadanco products are being produced in the USA in Mestek's Wyalusing, PA manufacturing facility. Product design and application engineering support is at Mestek's Westfield, MA headquarters.
